The learning that comes from this for other diseases alone justifes the praise let alone the direct impact this one disease would have had if it hadn't been targeted!

Syriza’s covert plot during crisis talks to return to drachma

They are probably right to want to go it alone, that should have happened long ago.

Problem is they are not wedded together but hand cuffed together now.

Who is going to make Greece succeed and who is going to take the credit?

Tsipras secures backing of Greek MPs for crucial reforms - FT.com

Along with the referendum and the resignation before the vote, Im not sure if the greek parliament are signing up to make this work or accept its imposition and then happy to see it fail again. Is it a phoenix or a politician that will rise from the future ashes or hopefully there will be no ashes just a new approach to getting this fixed! Im still not convinced!

Corbyn taken aback by support for him to become Labour leader - FT.com

The fact that the labour supporters can surprise its own leadership is no surprise to many of us.

The fact that so few serious candidates came forwards and one famously backed out suggests they know they have about as much chance at the next election as the one just gone, who ever leads. However the one after that they should win, then the party will have to make sure they have the leader they all want.

I think Labour needs to go with its people, then they will represent an authentic choice and alternative, not just be an also ran going for the populist approach without differentiating themselves on policy they really stand for as opposed to wrapping one set of policies with a blanket pretending to be something else. IMHO!

Greece 2016, 2017, 2020

For a small population and simple economy they have so many great products to sell, especially in the food and drink area and so many reason to attract tourists if not foreign capex and opex investments, the modest lives of Greek people can be transformed for sure!

I hope the Greek people can show some transformational leadership bottom up or top down, without it they will exit the Euro before 2016 and if not, definitely before 2017 and then the rest of Europe will sail along as usual in the game between France and Germany and who knows perhaps Greece will then be out performing them by 2020.

Microsoft and the phone, please don't hang up some are saying!

I left Microsoft in 2000 to investing in a small hosting business and a mobile middleware provider because I saw the opportunity and just didn't feel Microsoft got it. We worked hard on them from outside, that was punishing inspite of us making more progress than most our size. Talking with Nokia and Microsoft in tat period 2000-2005 it was obvious they thought they were in it, clearly they were not. Oh to be so big that you can waste billions and who cares!
