This is a great video of the issues for 2030, the risks, the challenges, the opportunity and the narratives that some will spin one way and other spin the other. This video will be great to watch every 5 yrs until 2030 if not 2050

Why Bill Gates Is Commissioning Fine Art : Goats and Soda : NPR Brilliant!

The art of saving a life!

and the good news on Polio..........

"As Nigeria hasn't had a single new case of Polio since July2014 and Pakistan hasn't reported a new case this year, things could be real exciting this year, even though there is a long way to go. Just have to keep our fingers crossed for the other poorest countries in the world where there have been the odd random outbreak but all eyes on the support for Afghanistan the final one of the 3 countries with endemic polio still and the hope for a new certification in three years time ie the waiting period India had to go through but got there in 2014 http://www.emro.who.int/polio/polio-news/one-year-since-last-case-of-polio-in-syria.html "

Extremists encourage extrimists.

With the old phrase, "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it" we all have to be careful of the motives of either side and within freedom of speech and careful analysis stand up for what is right and know that good people are with us.

Its really sad to listen to such rants http://www.vox.com/2015/1/12/7533159/fox-news-pirro-rant and then explore the background, its certainly not born out of poor education or lack of a voice http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanine_Pirro

Shameful that people want to spread hatred and violence from either side, and to wrap rhetoric and ignorance with some sense of logic. Id like to say no one is fooled, but the public on both sides or the planet watch this and the mirror image stuff.

How The Social Sector Can Create Value -- And Charge For It

Grants vs revenue. Incomes vs Outcomes!

Value drives value!

How The Social Sector Can Create Value -- And Charge For It

People, stories, real and the other!

In light of these:

this makes you think, even though its not something Id normally include in my blog interests and journey:

How people embrace information and stories is very interesting, where their head and their heart leads them and why checking sources, looking for independent validation and analysis your own thoughts and experience helps make the difference.

The future speeds up progress, what we have done before we can do again even better!

Don't let anyone tell you we cant solve the problems!

and 2015 is going to be even bigger in terms of future planned impact
If we can harness AI, machine learning and deep learning it certainly needs to focus for better:

There are always pro's and con's on the road of idea's, action, implementation and revision

Id stop cooking birds if it allows other to to reduce emissions!

Lets keep following the facts!!

UK wind power bests nuclear power – for a few symbolic minutes | Environment | The Guardian

UK wind power bests nuclear power – for a few symbolic minutes | Environment | The Guardian

Compare and contrast as the technology and action continues!

"It only has symbolic significance, but at half past nine this morning wind was supplying more electricity to the national grid than nuclear*.

For a few minutes, the gusts over the western side of the United Kingdom supplied more than 6 gigawatts and a temporary slight dip in nuclear output meant that wind was more important for electricity supply than the UK’s ageing nuclear fleet."

Re the earlier posts that you can search in this blog for wind, nuclear and other alternatives to fossil fuel and CO2 emissions!
